Técnica Pecuaria en México started publication in 1963 through the initiative of Dr. John A. Pino of the Rockefeller Foundation. Our journal has been in print uninterruptedly for 40 years, publishing articles on a great variety of subjects, being currently the livestock research journal with the widest scientific coverage in Mexico.
Between 1963 and 2001, a grand total of 1,242 scientific research papers have been published, thus representing an important asset of livestock research history for INIFAP.

Currently our journal has a circulation of 2,000 copies, of which 500 are read in 96 countries in 5 continents. The remaining 1,500 are read in Mexico and some of them kept as reserve.
Distribution in Mexico is carried out through donations and interchange with other scientific, research and education institutions.
